There is certainly not one single answer to this! I have been obsessed with mermaids and drawing since I was 3 years old, this is where my passion for art started and my fascination with mermaids has never stopped. I love all things fantasy so this plays a large role in my art. I have also been fascinated by sea creatures for a long time and have been scuba diving for about 4 years. For my concentration of bunnies in my work, I owned my first rabbit when I started learning watercolors so that played a huge influence and continues to - they have such an innocent nature that I try to bring out with my paintings. Alongside rabbits my favorite animals are other woodland creatures and sea creatures.
For paints I use Winsor & Newton for more natural tones and Dr. PH Martin concentrated watercolors for vivid high impact colors. For brushes I use Grumbacher rounds and Winsor & Newton Sceptre line. For linework I use Micron black pens , white and silver gel pens. For paper I use Strathmore and Arches 140 lb cold press watercolor paper.
Yes. I am typically open for both private and commercial commissions. Please see the button below for information on commissions and pricing.
You can also get in touch with me using my contact form to discuss rates, schedule and more.
Glicee Prints: My glicee prints are produced by a local printing company that specializes in fine art printing services. The paper used is 100% cotton textured archival paper that mimics the appearance and feel of traditional watercolor paper so that these prints appear as closely as possible to their originals.
Matte Prints: These prints are produced on matte, heavy cardstock and are more affordable than my glicee prints.
Fine Art Greeting Cards: My blank fine art greeting cards have a glicee textured print produced by my local print shop that I attach atop a 100% recycled kraft greeting card produced by a fellow Etsy shop owner Green Earth Supplies. This small business even plants a tree for every order! Cards also include a recycled matching kraft envelope.
Stickers: Stickers are made of durable, weatherproof matte vinyl and are produced through Sticker App and Stickermule.
PACKAGING INFO: All of my paper products are packaged in a clear compostable poly sleeve for protection and then inserted inside either a rigid mailer or bubble-wrapped poly mailer prior to mailing.
